History: Rottweilers were descended from the mastiff breed of the Roman legions.
Description:A male Rottweiler can stand anywhere from 24 to 27 inches from the shoulder, females are a bit smaller and lighter. Rottweilers are both medium and large, robust, powerful dogs with a black defined coat with rust markings. Recommended by breeders to have a raw diet, and to watch the calorie consumption.
Interesting Fact: The Romans used the Rottweiler to drive cattle and to pull carts for farmers and butchers.
