Description: The Chihuahua is in the toy group.Chihuahua can have smooth coats or long coats. They are seen in either solid or a combination of two colors. Most common colors are black,tan,fawn,cream,white,blue,silver,chocolate, and red. Life expectancy is 12 to 20 years.
History: The chihuahua is originated in Mexico and them likely ancestor of the breed was Techichi, a sacred dog of the ancient Toltecs. The Chihuahua may be present earlier than the ninth century.Some believe that the smaller size breed may have resulted from crossing with the Chinese crested dogs.First registered by the AKC in 1904, the Chihuahua is one of the oldest breeds on the American continent and one of the smallest breeds in the world. The Chihuahua is a very popular dog breed. In part, this is due to its tiny size and big personality. But the Taco Bell ad campaign boosted its popularity, as did Chihuahuas being featured in reality television series as purse dogs of rich and famous young women.
They can make good tricks but are hard to make them do them. They can be very cute and make poppy eyes sometimes.
They can run very fast without you notice it.
