Description: They are medium sized cats. They have muscular but elegant looking bodies and are described as looking wrapped in silk. Originally Solid dark brown but now champagne, blue, and platinum. Eye color differs with lighting.

History: In 1936, the Cat Fanciers Association recognizes Burmese as a cat breed. The cat that is known for being the original cat of the breed is Wong Mau. Through an investigation it was found that Wong Mau was genetically modified between a Siamese and a dark brown cat known as a Burmese
