Ragdoll
History: The Ragdoll was developed in the 1960s by a woman named Ann Baker in Riverside, California. Their origin consisted mainly of free-roaming cats. Ann Baker bred her cat Josephine, a domestic longhaired white female found running in the neighborhood, to others she had found or owned. The offspring had unique temperaments that were very endearing to Ann Baker.

Description: The Ragdoll is a large, laid-back, semi longhaired cats that have captivating blue eyes. It is a pointed breed, which means that it's body is lighter than the points like face, legs, tail and ears. They were carefully bred to produce large affectionate cats in three patterns, two with white as mitted or bi-color and one with not white as a color point. They are a well balanced cat with no extreme features. Ragdolls are slow-maturing cats only reaching full coat color at 2 years of age and full size and weight at 4 years of age. These cats are more interested in humans than other breeds. Their semi long coats are plush and silky and require very little grooming. They are well behaved cats that are easy to take care of and are perfect for modern, busy lives.
