The Ragdoll
History: They are from Riverside, California. They were developed by breeder Ann Baker in the 1960's.
Description: The average weight of a ragdoll for female is 10-15 pounds. For some males is more than 20 pounds. They have an increased risk of calcium oxalate bladder stones and a predisposition to FIP (Feline infectious peritonitis). For care, they need to be combed twice a week. Check their tail for bits of poop stuck in their fur.
Life span: 12-17 years
